Background and Qualifications:

Daniela is a fully qualified psychotherapist who holds an MSc in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Northampton. Additionally she holds a Level 1 Certificate in Couples Counselling, a certificate in ‘Couples Counselling in Addiction Recovery’, as well as ‘The Seven Principles to Make Marriage Work Leader Training program, all based on the Gottman Method, and attained through The Gottman Institute.

Beside having a keen interest in working with couples, she is personally and professionally invested in providing psychotherapy and counselling in non-discriminatory and culturally adaptive ways, to suit clients from non-majority cultures/races. As an International Instructor Trainer for Mind-Body Movement modalities, Daniela extensively taught in countries around the world for over ten years. She completed her Cultural Competence Training with the Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre, and holds a certificate for ‘Intercultural and Anti-Discrimination Practice within Psychotherapy and Counselling with Clients from a Culturally and/or Racially Different Background’ from TADF.

Understanding that a healthy body and a healthy mind are in her opinion undeniably linked, Daniela furthermore completed her Advanced Post-Qualifying Certificate with the Irish Institute For Biosynthesis in 2019. Her approach to psychotherapy therapy is one of a person-centred, humanistic nature, with a desire to walk alongside her clients as they progress on the symbolic “Yellow Brick Road”.
