
Background & Education.
Aifric is qualified therapist holding a Masters in Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School. Aifric is an associate member of IAHIP and holds a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from both Dublin Business School and University College Dublin.
Clinical Experience.
Aifric’s approach is focused on creating a safe, welcoming environment where clients can explore their feelings and experience without judgement. Aifric firmly believes that the client has the ability to reach their full potential and to resolve their own issues with the support of the therapeutic relationship. Aifric understands how the challenges and pressures of life can be overwhelming and works to help the client process their world and to facilitate positive change and growth. Aifric works with each client in an individual manner to suit their specific needs.
With an interest in Family Law Aifric also has experience of the complexities and issues that arise when a relationship ends and a family is broken up. Her previous work experience exposed Aifric to the idea of collaborative practice & the use of psychotherapy to help facilitate the ending of a relationship. There can often be particular tensions between the legal, financial & emotional components of this experience.
Aifric works with clients experiencing a range of issues including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, stress, bereavement, anger, family breakup (divorce & separation)
She has attended CPD in areas such as healing relational trauma, psychopharmacology, eating disorders, working with child sexual abuse, psychosynthesis and psychoanalysis.
