Tom Radic
Psychotherapist
I am a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) with a Masters in Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School.
I work with adults individually and provide psychotherapy in English, Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian. I am available for short-term as well as long-term work, in person and online.
I mainly work in a person-centered modality which emphasizes your autonomy and self-healing capacity. It is a humanistic approach where the therapist acts as a facilitator, creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. In my view, you are the expert on your own life and experiences. I integrate elements of mindfulness, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and cognitive-behavioural methods as well. Self-compassion, rather than self-criticism, is crucial in my work. Suffering is a sign that something important needs to change or be cared for, and I believe this can open the way to growth.
Experience and interests:
My experience includes working with a wide variety of challenges such as bereavement, anxiety, depression, sexuality, life transitions, stress, and trauma, and my areas of interest are trauma, anxiety and depression. Prior to psychotherapy, I worked in the corporate sector, mainly in digital marketing and tech support.
