Background & Training:

Maryanne is a psychologist, qualified psychotherapist and addiction counsellor. She is a graduate member of PSI and a pre-accredited member of the IACP.   Maryanne has completed a Bachelors Degree in Counselling Psychology, a Masters Degree in Addiction Studies and a  Master of Science in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Clinical Experience:

Maryanne is dedicated and passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges. With a warm and empathetic approach, she provides a safe space for her clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. She has studied various approaches including, but not limited to: CBT, Person centred, Psychodynamic, ACT, DBT, Group therapy, Art therapy, Play therapy and Family therapy. She utilizes a pluralistic approach to assist individuals with stress management, substance use, relationship and interpersonal issues, complex family issues, work stress, personal development, grief, self esteem, bullying, body image, depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, racism, migration and complex change. She draws from various therapeutic approaches and techniques such as: cognitive restructuring, mindfulness techniques, trauma informed care, emotional regulation and relaxation techniques. She celebrates the diversity of individuals and their unique needs and tailors therapy to the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
