Martha is a Trainee Cognitive behavioural psychotherapist currently working as a Candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide therapeutic interventions to people experiencing mental health difficulties in a community setting. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychiatric Nursing from Atlantic technological university and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT) also in the Atlantic technological university.

Martha has worked across both adult and child & adolescent mental health services, providing compassionate, evidence-based care. She has experience delivering therapeutic interventions in both Ireland and Australia, supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health challenges. While in Australia, she worked within acute inpatient settings as well as within the community to provide therapeutic interventions as part of a Crisis assessment team.

Throughout her career, Martha has provided therapeutic interventions to individuals facing a range of mental health challenges. She integrates elements of CBT, along with Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Decider Skills Training, equipping clients with practical tools to target areas of their life that they are struggling with and in turn their over all well being.

She works with clients experiencing:

Anxiety including;

Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) ,

Social Anxiety Disorder

Panic Disorder,

Phobias and  Health Anxiety.

Depression including;

Major Depressive Disorder, Persistent Depressive Disorder (Dysthymia) and Postnatal Depression

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Post-traumatic stress disorder
