Dominica Williams

Trainee Psychotherapist

Training & Qualifications:

Dominica is a trainee psychotherapist from Dublin. She is currently studying for her BSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP College.

Background & Approach:

Before training as a therapist, Dominica was in the performing arts, working for almost a decade as an opera singer. This career gave her a real appreciation for the importance of creativity, play, and self-expression, three things she values highly and incorporates into her work as a therapist today.

Dominica’s approach is person-centred at its core, drawing on elements of choice theory and attachment theory to help her clients gain better understanding of themselves and their relationships, and explore whatever issues they may be facing. She believes that the systems and cultures in which we live have a huge impact on the way we view ourselves, and she works from a place of openness to the lived experience of each person. Dominica’s work is inclusive of all individuals, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Dominica grew up in a bilingual household. She speaks Irish fluently and can offer therapy sessions in English and Irish.

As a student member of IACP, Dominica attends regular supervision and is committed to upholding the highest professional and ethical standards at all times.
