Caroline Earley, MIACP
Psychotherapist
Caroline Earley MIACP has studied and worked in various areas of mental health for over 10 years. She has an MSc in Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapy from the Tivoli Institute and is an accredited member of the IACP. Caroline also has a Masters in Applied Psychology from Trinity College Dublin, along with a Higher Diploma in Psychology. Caroline is a graduate from University College Galway where she received a BA in Psychology and English.
Clinical Approach
Passionate about the benefits of various psychotherapeutic models, Caroline has worked extensively in the area of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She appreciates where its strategies can be used to facilitate change and help clients reach their goals. This being said, Caroline practices according to person-centred and humanistic philosophies, integrating different knowledge and skills depending on an individual client’s needs (psychodynamic, humanistic, gestalt etc.).
With over 8 years’ experience in the area of online or digital mental and behavioral healthcare delivery, Caroline has supported clients online both in written and live video format. She has also trained individuals in the delivery of such interventions. Caroline has extensively researched this relatively new format for delivering therapy and has met its demand with openness and desire to ensure best practice.
Research
Always striving to expand her knowledge and skillset, Caroline has been extensively involved in academic research. With approximately 15 publications touching a range of topics – Depression, Anxiety, CBT etc. Caroline’s passion for the wide-ranging benefits of psychotherapy and learning sees her having experience teaching psychotherapists in training on various topics e.g., Neurodiversity, CBT, and Psychodynamic therapies.
Area of Interest
Caroline is also strongly invested in the area of perinatal mental health, trying to meet the wide-ranging needs of women both pre and post-natally. Caroline has worked across a broad range of areas including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, panic attacks, loneliness, behavioural change, confidence-building, trauma, grief, self-harm & suicidal thoughts, stress, identity issues, relationship issues, personal growth. She meets each individual where they are at and works across ages – 18+ students, adults, and older adults. Possessing a strong work ethic, Caroline strives to be genuine, respectful, collaborative, and considerate in all of her actions, facilitating self-development and change within a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space.
