
Background & Training:
Ravind Jeawon (MIACP) is the founder of Talk Therapy Dublin and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from University College Cork.
Ravind spent four years training with Turning Point Institute in Dublin also earning their Diploma in Integrative Clinical Psychotherapy recognized by the IACP, IAHIP & EAP accrediting bodies.
Ravind adopts a Pluralistic approach to the process of Psychotherapy, with a Person Centered & Psychodynamic foundation. Where appropriate, Ravind incorporates Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral approaches (CBT) for short term counselling & work related issues.
Clinical Experience:
Ravind has broad experience working with many presenting issues, in particular distress related to Relationship issues, Migration, Minority Stress, Developmental Trauma & Fertility.
Ravind has an interest in Culturally Responsive Counselling and working within diversity. He has experience working with clients from different countries, ethnic backgrounds and minoritized perspectives. Ravind has completed additional Cultural Competence Training at the Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy centre in London. Ravind has worked providing support to the International Organization for Migration, particularly psychosocial support for clients accessing the IOM’s Voluntary Return Program.
Trainer & Clinical Supervision roles
Ravind has completed a Professional Diploma in Integrative Clinical Supervision across the caring professions and is an IACP accredited supervisor. He has delivered Multicultural Responsiveness training for a number of organizations like:
- The HSE National Counselling Service,
- Dublin City University,
- ICPPD – Holistic Psychotherapy Training College
- The Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP)
- ATU Sligo (Atlantic Technical University)
- Warwick University (United Kingdom)
- University College Cork (UCC) – Counselling and Access teams
Ravind currently provides clinical/technical supervision, training and consultancy support for the IOM’s Mental Health & Psychosocial project (MHPSS) based in Citywest in Dublin. This involves supporting staff working with vulnerable clients seeking international protection.
Published Writing:
Ravind has contributed two chapters to recently published books on Psychotherapy:
- Intercultural Supervision in Therapeutic Practice – Dialogues, Perspectives and Reflections (2023)
- When Therapy Goes Wrong: Learning From Challenges and Improving Practice (2025)
Ravind has also also co-written two chapters on multicultural responsiveness with researcher and lecturer Daryl Mahon in two recently published books.

Ravind attends regular clinical supervision and continues to develop his skills through continued professional development, having completed additional courses in suicide intervention (ASIST), and working with survivors of domestic abuse. Ravind has also been trained to incorporate (and measure) client feedback in sessions using an approach known as Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT), an example of evidence based practice.
Prior to establishing Talk Therapy Dublin, Ravind spent over three years supporting community counselling services such as the Loreto Centre in Crumlin Dublin 12 and the Oasis Centre in the North Inner City of Dublin.
Prior to Psychotherapy:
Before completing his psychotherapy training, Ravind had a thirteen year career in the corporate sector having received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies (BBS) from Trinity College Dublin.
His years of employment representing large corporations inspired an interest in the area of counselling and mental health. This led him to complete a foundation certificate in counselling with PCI college prior to starting a full four year training.
Ravind has an interest in social justice and has over 6 years of experience volunteering with vulnerable people of all age groups The bulk of this has been in youth advocacy for Foróige but more recently he has been involved advocating for vulnerable people affected by the housing crisis in Dublin.
