Born in Peru, Wendy has been living in Dublin for many years with her interest in Counselling emerging while studying for her Nursing Career.
Wendy has extensive experience in the caring professions with exposure to a variety of settings as a Nursing Technician and as a Healthcare Assistant. It is this experience she brings into her new role working with mental health as a Psychotherapist. She is currently completing her final year of a Level 8 Bachelors Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy with PCI College. She is currently on the team of a busy City Centre practice as well as supporting Talk Therapy Dublin.
During her course, Wendy has been trained in Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural models of Psychotherapy. Wendy applies these varied approaches effectively to help support clients with many different issues, such as;
- Loss and Grief,
- Relationship problems,
- Dealing with Divorce/Separation
- Coping with Physical Illness
Wendy is a passionate student counsellor dedicated to helping distressed clients with their problems. Wendy has an interest in multicultural counselling, respecting and understanding diversity in clients who may bring different views, beliefs and values.
Wendy attends supervision regularly and continues to enhance her knowledge and skills through CPD.
