Deirdre Graham

 

Background/Training

Deirdre is a fully qualified psychotherapist holding a BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from IICP College. She has 3 years’ experience in practice and is a pre-accredited member of IACP (Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy).  Deirdre also holds a BA in Business and has worked in the corporate and educational fields for a number of years prior to her current career path.

Deirdre currently works in advocacy and has prior experience working with
survivors of institutional abuse in a range of not for profit organisations.  She also has varied experience providing advocacy and mentorship to young people.

Deirdre is also qualified as a Yoga and Meditation teacher and offers techniques
such as Mindfulness and Breathing/Relaxation in the therapy room where
appropriate.

Approach
Deirdre offers an open and supportive therapeutic space where she and the client
can identify and explore issues together. She uses an integrative style – which
means a tailored approach for each client – recognising that we are all different and
have varying needs from therapy. Deirdre believes the therapeutic relationship is key
to good outcomes and endeavors to build a solid and trusting connection with each
client.
